Review of Benefits "Coralista" & cheaper dupes!

Blog post number 4 already, ah this is so addictive!

I am going to compare 3 blush that I have tried and tested! They are Benefits Coralista, Dainty dolls You are my sunshine and Elfs Candid coral!

Coralista by Benefit

First I will talk about Coralista from Benefit. At £23.50 this blush is the most expensive of the three. I am not normally one for scented products for my face but this blush smells absolutely incredible! The pigmentation is absolutely flawless and it seems to last forever! I would definitely say that this is my favourite ever blush. It gives my cheeks a soft shimmer that doesn't make my face look like a disco ball which is an added bonus. Also the packaging is beautiful, I am normally not a fan of this type of packing but I simply cant fault this one. I find that this blush looks best in the summer on tanned skin as i prefer to wear a matte blush in autumn and winter.

Candid Coral by ELF

With a recommended retail price of £3.75 I didn't really have very high expectations for this product but I did hope for the best. I paid £2 for this on EBay including postage as I was curious as to how similar to my favourite but pricey Coralista. My first impression was that the packaging was cheap but I guess that was to be expected for £3.75. The pigmentation was good and it did last for around 5 hours without fading. Additionally I did find this product quite powdery however when applied with my Real Techniques blush brush it does give the cheeks a lovely natural flush with a slight shimmer. For the price I don't really mind having to re-apply this during the day, I do think this is a very good alternative for Coralista but if your budget can stretch I would definitely recommend making an investment and going for Coralista.

You are my sunshine by Dainty Doll

I got this product for £1.99 on fragrance direct as I had heard it was an amazing dupe for Coralista so for £1.99 if it wasn't then I hadn't exactly broke the bank. In the pan this looks like an almost exact dupe for Coralista however it didn't have the same amazing scent but for £1.99 what did I expect? This product is highly pigmented which for £1.99 is amazing. Also the packaging is lovely and doesn't feel cheap like the ELF blush. This does have slightly more shimmer than Coralista but if applied lightly with my Real Techniques blush brush it looks almost as amazing as Coralista. For £1.99 I would recommend this to anyone who is either interested in Coralista but wants to try a similar alternative before they buy the £23.50 for Benefit blush or for someone on a student budget like myself.

Overall

Swatches from left to right: Coralista, Candid Coral then You are my sunshine

If I had to choose my favourites in order it would of course be Coralista however it is followed very very closely by the Dainty Doll blush which is practically identical and at £1.99 I could buy nearly 12 for the price of one Benefit blush. Finally my last favourite would have to be the ELF blush, its not that I dislike it but I just have blushes I like better.
